There are several options available here ... pick the one that works best for you or contact me for additional options or questions.
What type of image do you want? This will affect color and font choices - the overall mood of your product. We will discuss your short and long range goals for your product, so that it can be designed according to your needs. During the consultation we will also discuss stationary, the use of spot colors, full color process, and other printing factors as appropriate, enhancements to increase traffic to your website or improve presence on the market, and so forth. It is not always necessary to rush out and put your logo on every media imaginable, so I will not be pushing products, though I will make suggestions where applicable. I am reminded of a now extinct Windows utility company that had their logo on everything from t-shirts to note pads ... where are they now? There's a time to pay extra and print on better stock ... or move from a static to animated website, and there's a time to keep things simple and clean.
You can expect clear, honest communication, congeniality, reliability, and professionalism. To schedule a consultation, contact me via email or if desired, by phone (702) 878-5286. One advantage to email is that you can quickly send me reference art (pre-existing logo, quick sketch, special fonts, corrections, etc.) and we don't have to play telephone tag. It's faster and often more efficient. Still, sometimes there's a meeting of minds from face-to-face contact, and If you are located in Las Vegas, I can arrange to meet you for the consultaton, upon request.
I am more than happy to advise you on layout and design options, color, potential trouble areas, pricing and turnaround time. You can expect further consultation as necessary, especially on complex projects. As some projects require additional time to consider, I may submit a price and turnaround time quote after the consultation, usually within 24 hours. Of course, I'm only human, and although I have many years of experience in graphic design, I am not infallable. I could claim all sorts of lofty things about myself, but I'm choosing instead to be honest. I will work very hard on your project and feel that my experience, attention to detail and creativity should result in a product that you will be very pleased with.
In order to meet your needs, I will expect all of the details necessary to complete your project in a timely, professional manner. If you are not really prepared to go forward, I expect clear, honest communication so we don't waste each others' time. If you have concerns, I expect that you will air them so that there will be no misunderstandings. Assumption is a cousin of disapointment.
Amazingly, clients often don't proof carefully, and I expect that you will do your best. A "correction" fixes a mistake, while a "revision" is a change in design. Corrections are free as are the first few minor revisions (I won't be counting, but please respect my time). I will expect prompt payment for services rendered. I am very reasonable and understand that we all have difficulties on occasion and expect to be notified of any payment delays.
Once the parameters of the project are agreed upon, I will prepare a simple contract requiring your authorization to proceed. Once this step is complete, I can begin work. The contract is intended to minimize misunderstandings and protect both parties - it's just good business practice. An email contract (or paper snail mail version if you prefer) will be provided for you to sign. Via email, just hit reply with the contract intact, giving me the go ahead, when you are ready. One thing I've learned over the years is that there's a handful of "impossible to satisfy" clients out there. If it seems that I can't satisfy you, I will offer to withdraw from the project so that no more time is wasted.
Unless the contract states hardcopy proofs via snail mail, all proofs will be provided via email. Bare in mind that every monitor and every printer except off-set printers, will display the colors differently. Color is very tricky business. If you indicate specific pantone colors (or cmyk/rgb values), I can ensure color accuracy (though again the proof may not appear as such depending on the output device. Please check your proof carefully to ensure information is correct and to your satisfaction. Then email me with any feedback. I will usually respond to your proof feedback within 24 hours. Your project and your satisfaction is very important to me - projects are not complete until you authorize final proof. Once approved, final artwork will be provided to you in the manner agreed upon in the contract/package.
Terms of payment will be negotiated before the project begins and will be outlined in the contract. I am somewhat flexable. Small projects will require payment once the project is approved and all work is completed. Larger projects and complex projects require a 50% deposit before project begins with the remaining portion paid upon completion. The amount quoted will only increase if parameters are altered, such as requests for materials (clip art, photography) and changes beyond the original contract. Delivery of CD's and any supplemental materials are NOT INCLUDED in the listed prices. For Rush orders, add 50% to the total, paid in advance.
I reserve the right to retain samples of all work for my portfolio. I also reserve the right to refuse service if a proposal is pornographic or offensive in nature.
